The House Taken Over
11 Sep 2013 — 22 Feb 2014
The Portuguese composer Vasco Mendonça and the English playwright Sam Holcroft delve into the secrets of a brother and sister who live together in a house and no longer leave its confines.
Over time, their accumulated habits have turned into rituals. Their peaceful existence has become a comfortable cocoon, far removed from every threat. Indefinable noises regularly resound in various parts of the enormous house. Its two inhabitants react by simply closing off those areas. In the course of time their living space becomes increasingly restricted, however their habits remain unchanged.
