In this deeply personal narrative, soprano Katrien Baerts takes the audience behind the scenes with a strikingly candid approach, revealing a side of an artist’s life rarely seen by the public. Together with Asko|Schönberg, she performs her favorite repertoire in a powerful production centered around themes of honesty, control, vulnerability, loneliness, and connection.

Katrien Baerts is known for her powerful and sensuous voice, impeccable diction, and profound, sincere interpretations. She often performs contemporary pieces that are almost beyond traditional singing techniques. After her debut in Rob Zuidam’s opera Suster Bertken in 2010, she gained international acclaim for her stunning performances, particularly in contemporary music and opera.
