The ancient story of The Odyssey is brought on stage as a dance performance with live music. Lonneke van Leth choreographer and visual artist Vincent de Kooker describe the myth of the Greek hero Odysseus after the Trojan War.
The different story lines are told through dance, images and music. It promises to be a great show with live music composed by Maxim Shalygin and conducted by Michael de Roo performed by none other than Asko|Schönberg and The Rosa ensemble completed by students of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and Rotterdam Codarts . 1200m2 decor and a cast of 100 artists including dancers, musicians, acrobats, tissue-dancers and singers.
Choreographer Lonneke van Leth : “In many colorful and spectacular scenes we see Odysseus being taken away from his family to wage war. The gods are not charmed by his cunning character and create for him a quest that he must endure to return to his beloved wife Penelope and son Telemachus. A journey full of joys, hardships and tribulations he lays down.
