Inspired by traditional Georgian choirs, during her GRASpunt residency, Anushka will collaborate with three vocalists from the ensemble Slavuj and a percussionist from the Asko|Schönberg ensemble to create a new piece saturated with polyphonic experimentation and looping rhythms. The aim of the residency is to explore the intersection of electronics and acoustic sounds with Anushka. The voice, the most important human instrument, is most clearly expressed in electronic music. This ongoing work will be presented in a concert where the musicians will experiment with presenting their instruments in unusual and innovative ways.
